The newly renovated Cargo Bar is inviting all you single ladies and gents to this Sydney hot spot for an evening of swooning. Bungalow 8/ The Loft, King Street Wharf

With the glistening harbour as your backdrop, how can you not get a little loved up at Bungalow 8? This Valentines Day, they’re offering a romantic 3 course menu teamed with a glass of Chandon Sparkling Rosé. If your date is going well, why not take a leisurely stroll down King Street Wharf, complete with lots of hand holding. If things go pear-shaped, jump straight into the water and swim to Pyrmont.
The Loft are also doing more casual, Valentines Day cocktails! For a week starting 12th-18th February, head down for three sexy concoctions. There’s the Truly, Madly, Deeply – made with Kettle One citroen, strawberry liqueur, watermelon, lemon and egg white. For the gin lovers, the bar will also be making Freya’s Flower -using Tanqueray, St Germain, lemon, sugar, lavender bitters and egg white. Finally, there will be Every Rose – made with Archie Rose gin, lillet blanc, mint, rose syrup and soda.

The Rook

If you’re a city worker looking for a conveniently located Valentines Day treat, check out The Rook’s special all-day Valentines offering. The Rook want you and your lover to get fancy with a complimentary glass of Mumm Champagne on arrival, followed by a lobster meal. Alongside your whopping 450gm lobster will be truffle fries, onion rings and fresh apple slaw. The decadence doesn’t stop there either, with a dessert chocolate board for dessert. With the waves gently crashing in the background, this beachside restaurant and bar will provide the perfect backdrop for a loved up dining experience. This Valentines Day, Manly Wine are offering an indulgent three course dinner accompanied by a glass of Moet on arrival. The menu consists of shared starters, including fresh rock oysters, stuffed zucchini flowers, smoked salmon roulade and grilled haloumi. As for mains, you get the choice of either 8-hour lamb shoulder, crispy skin barramundi fillet or confit duck breast. Nothing quite says romance like shared desserts, with flourless dark chocolate slice, panna cotta and a raspberry sorbet and shortbread sandwich all on the cards. If the date’s going really well, finish the evening with a hand-holding walk across Manly Beach. If the date go sour, at least you’ll be left with a sweet taste in your mouth after all that decadence.

Situated in the heart of Surry Hills is this lovers oasis. Offering lush greenery, fairy lights and plenty of charm, a dinner date at the Winery can only bode well. This Valentines Day, they’re offering a special ‘Be My Valentine’ dinner. It includes four courses, teamed with a glass of Champagne on arrival for $95 per person. The menu consists of Sydney rock oysters, followed by mouth watering roasted beetroot and ricotta ravioli. From there, you and lover can choose between crispy skin ocean trout or grilled sirloin. As for dessert, make sure you keep room for Champagne lime jelly, served with crystallised white chocolate, strawberry sorbet and mascarpone whipped creme.

Kingsleys down by the iconic Woolloomooloo are hosting a lavish three-course dinner, designed for the couple looking for a little indulgence. Start your night with a glass of Champagne, followed by a three-course meal against the glistening waterfront setting. On the menu is your choice of three options, including kingfish sashimi, twice cooked pork belly or mozzarella and fig salad. Your main meal includes a choice of Angus Eye Fillet, Blue Eye Cod or gnocchi. Your night will end on a particularly sweet note, with a choice of dark chocolate marquise, made with salted caramel, feuilletine and coffee ice cream or montboissie, an aromatic French cheese accompanied by quince paste, dried grapes and fruit spelt bread.
