Like bar hopping? love wine? Urban Wine Walk gets set to take over the east with its walking wine tour in 2019.

They most recently took over Sydney’s Inner West in August, and now Urban Wine Walk have released a raft of new walking wine tour dates to tantalise your taste buds in 2019.

Australia’s top cellar doors will be taking over the best of Surry Hills and Darlinghurst’s bars with a special one-day event, giving wine-loving locals the chance to bar hop, no driving required, with selected venues showcasing specially curated wines.

Kicking off on Saturday 9th February, the streets, laneways and footpaths of Surry Hills & Darlinghurst will come alive as a new line up of the neighbourhood’s best venues open their doors, transforming into the the ultimate self-guided cellar door experience.

Selected venues include Mister Pocket, Button Bar, Black Bottle, MV Bistro & Wine Bar, The Commons, The Dolphin Hotel, The Winery, This Must Be the Place, Li’l Darling and The Bishop. At each bar, walkers will find a select winemaker showcasing their special range of vinos. The choice is yours as to how many bars you visit on the day. For the leisurely walker, take your time enjoying a small selection of bars and the respective tipples of the winemaker.

For the eager wine enthusiasts, don your comfortable shoes and check out every bar on offer!

For the wine aficionados in the room, you can expect the likes of Harvest by Unico Zelo (SA), Slow Wine Co (NSW), Pete’s Pure (NSW), Mr Barval (WA), Frogmore Creek (TAS) and La Prova (SA), with more winemakers to be announced in the lead up to the event.

For only $60pp, your ticket grants you entry into all participating venues, with over 35 free wine tastings, a tasting glass and venue guide all included.

The Sydney leg makes up just one pit stop for the Urban Wine Walk crew in 2019! They will also be popping up in Perth on Saturday 19th January, Melbourne on Saturday 2nd February, followed by across the ditch in Wellington on Saturday 16th February.
