It’s official! This is Us has opened a bakery in the heart of Cherrybrook, commonly referred to as The Hills district of Sydney. Known for creating some of Australia’s favourite baked goods available at stockists across NSW & QLD, This Is Us has taken the experience to the next level by opening the very first bakery. With a team of renowned bakers and pastry chefs in the kitchen, you’re in for a delicious surprise.
This Is Us mission has always been to make farm-to-table dining accessible for consumers. The team help you connect to the food on your table by liaising with local makers and growers, and bringing you products made with the best seasonal ingredients. This is Us has been selling its products in boutique grocery chains and independent stockists, allowing you to pick up these crafted delicacies to take home. You may have tried their hero sourdough goods including cinnamon scrolls and gourmet donuts. But now, you can visit their bakery yourself and sit down to savour cakes, pies, pastries and other goods baked fresh on-site.
The venue is fitted with recycled timber and potted plants for a natural, pulled-back ambience. As you enter, you are immersed in the warm, dreamy scent of freshly baked goods. Head to the counter where you’ll be guided by friendly staff on the different sweet treats and savoury bites available. Black Market Coffee is on pour and you’ll also find some of the best sourdough crumpets and English muffins in Sydney.
The bakery already has some clear favourites including the rich Fudge Chocolate Cake with chocolate crema and whipped caramel chocolate. Savoury favourites include the Chicken and Leek Pie which is perfect for the cooler months, and the Lamb Sausage Roll packed with Outback Lamb sourced from an award-winning family farm in Tullamore, central west NSW. Other standouts include their range of decadent cakes, fluffy pastries and indulgent sandwiches including a Reuben made with smoked Australian brisket from LP’s Quality Meats.
Enjoy your food knowing its high calibre with many of the savouries featuring free-range and award-winning meats. All of the single-origin flour is sourced directly from farmers in Northern NSW, and their core range of products is preservative and additive-free. Quality meets simplicity with an emphasis on creative flair!
