Head to Woollahra’s The Wine Library for a curated Bluefin & Burgundy culinary experience this July.
There are few things we love more than sushi and vino. And if you’re looking to experience both at their best, make sure to add this exciting upcoming dining experience to your July calendar.
Set in Woollahra’s iconic dining room The Wine Library, their upcoming Bluefin & Burgundary culinary experience is set to offer Sydneysiders the chance to enjoy Japanese seafood and a selection of paired delicious wines all at the same time. Available for just two days this July (Sunday, July 19th and Sunday, July 26th) you’d better get in quick before seats are booked out.
The team from The Wine Library has called on Sydney’s OG sushi master Toshi Oe to curate the entire dining experience. Diners are set to be in for a real treat, with Toshi Oe bringing over 30 years experience (at some of Sydney’s top venues including Toko and Masuya), renowned for his expertise in superior preparation and presentation inspired by Japanese culture.
For this exclusive dinner, Toshi Oe has partnered with respected fish supplier Narito Ishii to source the highest quality Bluefin Tuna and a selection of premium seafood to create this indulgent eight-course set menu. This ‘Bluefin & Burgundy’ menu will feature dishes including oyster moro miso, baby scallop Aomori, Nitenmori sashimi, eel emaki and wagyu beef; with the additional option of extra courses such as caviar bumps or fresh truffle-infused Brillat Savarin cheese.
Plus, diners will have the option to personalise their dining and win experience by choosing between a wine by the glass or bottle pairing from a shortlist of Burgundies, hand-selected by The Wine Library sommelier and co-owner Tim Perlstone. Highlights from the shortlisted Burgundies include Ghislaine Barthod, Laurent Roumier, Domaine Lignier, Prieure Roch, Geantet-Pansiot and Pierre Yves Colin Morey.
The Wine Library’s Bluefin & Burgundy experience will take place on Sunday, July 19th and Sunday, July 26th, with four sittings per day (20 seats per sitting). Tickets will cost $150 per person with two wine pairing options: off the beaten Burgundy track wine match ($95 pp) or premium king of Burgundy match ($190 pp).
