Bottoms Up! Bondi’s historic pub The Royal reopens with a month of 49% off all drinks.
Following on from the success of Merivale’s hyper happy hour in June, Justin Hemmes is relaunching his latest venue, The Royal in Bondi, with Bottoms Up Bondi! For the entire month of October, Merivale will celebrate the opening of their latest venue by offering 49% off all drinks sold at the refurbished waterside Bondi institution.
With warmer months approaching, Bottoms Up Bondi will get you primed for summer and the start of daylight savings. From 5pm until 7pm everyday, experience the grandeur of the redeveloped watering hole with an (almost) half-priced drink in hand.
Bottoms Up Bondi will give alcohol lovers the perfect excuse to sample The Royal’s refreshed drinks list. Curated by Merivale’s drinks specialist Sam Egerton, the menu is an eclectic fusion of daiquiris, margaritas, boilermakers, bottled negronis and espresso martinis on tap.
A Bondi icon since 1907, The Royal’s front bar has just been reopened after undergoing an extensive redevelopment at the hands of Merivale wizz-kid CEO Hemmes. A local pub with a Merivale twist, Hemmes hopes a month of the extra-happy happy will get Bondi talking.
“Bottoms Up was our way of saying thank you to Sydney, encouraging people to get out and experience everything this amazing city has to offer,” says Hemmes. “The Royal just missed out on being open in time for the campaign, so we wanted to do something special for Bondi. The pub means a lot to the area and we’re really excited to join the neighbourhood.”
The Royal’s Bottle Shop has also reopened, selling an extensive range of wines, the store specialises on organic, low intervention wines.
While The Royal’s restaurant and courtyard won’t be unveiled until summer, Bottoms Up Bondi is sure to remind locals why they first fell in love the historic venue.
