Escape to The Hamptons at the stylish new beachside restaurant, The Pines.

Sydney, we know you love waterfront dining. No matter the occasion, enjoying a delicious meal with a side of water views is always a good idea. With summer nearly upon us, an exciting new waterfront dining spot has just swung open its doors. The best bit? It brings a stylish yet relaxed Hamptons vibe to the shores of Sydney.

Meet The Pines, the new coastal dining experience now open in Cronulla. Set just footsteps from North Cronulla beach, this airy new restaurant will be the perfect spot to sip your way through leisurely long lunches this summer. With sweeping views of the coastline, The Pines takes its name from the famous Norfolk Pine trees that line the vista below.

While the views and sophisticated interiors are front-and-center at The Pines, the team has an impressive resume of experience too. From the US to London, the team (including Brian McCarthy, Melissa Smith, Chris Hoy, and James Metcalfe) brings decades of experience in top venues across the globe.

Brian McCarthy (ex-Ritz Carlton) will head up the venue as General Manager, along with James Metcalfe (with a 25-year career working in Michelin star restaurants across London and Sydney). Plus, Chris Hoy (ex-Rockpool, Merivale and Ritz Carlton) will oversee the beverage program.

So, what can you expect at The Pines? Kick-off your evening with an Aperitif at the Aprés Beach Bar before heading indoors to enjoy the à la carte or degustation menu. Want to keep the evening going? Head to The Pines Lounge for smoked cocktails, global spirits, Chef’s decadent desserts, and chocolate cigars.

As for the menu, expect fresh, seasonal local produce sourced from some of Australia’s most celebrated producers. Enjoy signature dishes such as Rump Cap from Rangers Valley (the world’s most respected premium marbled beef producers) as well as sustainably sourced Humpty Doo Barramundi. There’s also freshly shucked oysters, seared scallops, classic macaroni and cheese with lobster, and even a selection of gourmet pizzas.
