SRG Hospitality is bringing contemporary British dining to The Langham, Sydney with The James, opening February 2026.
The restaurant marks a significant milestone for the group behind some of Sydney’s most iconic venues as it enters the luxury hotel space for the first time.
Head Chef Sam Tuchband, who honed his craft at London’s Trinity, Alyn Williams at The Westbury, and The Dining Room at The Goring, reimagines British comfort classics with a refined, contemporary approach. The standout? Wagyu Beef Wellington carved tableside, delivering both theatre and flavour. Expect dishes like braised short rib with cauliflower and Madagascan pepper, dressed spanner crab Waldorf salad, and a sticky toffee pudding soufflé served warm with toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream.
SRG’s Director Perry Drakopoulos has created a bold, modern British dining room with patterned textiles, sculptural joinery and sweeping drapery. The wine list champions Old World styles and Australian producers, with a dedicated English sparkling selection. As The Langham’s exclusive food and beverage partner, SRG will oversee all dining across the property.
