A new neighbourhood eatery, bar, cafe and garden has opened in North Sydney called The Greens. Drop by for a coffee in the garden, gather the family for a relaxed weekend lunch or head out with friends for evening drinks. Launching tonight, The Greens has spectacular views of Sydney Harbour and is set to be one of the most exciting new additions to the lower north shore.
The bar has a playful and curious cocktail list ranging from the classics through to a Yuzu Daiquiri or Tequila and Chamomile Sour with a side of chamomile flowers. You can also have a Bloody Mary with a choice of three different colours, red, yellow and green. The bar will also feature DJs to fill the air with fine tunes on the Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Dine at The Greens with Chef Lilly Fasan (ex The Grounds of Alexandria) has created an uncomplicated menu with wholesome and share-style dishes. Serving lunch, dinner and snacks, the menu is split into smaller share plates, substantial mains and large sharing dishes for two or more. Menu highlights include Oxtail Croquettes with Sweet Pimento Dipping Sauce ($11), House Cured Ocean Trout with housemade Pickled Cucumbers, Caper Berries, Quail Eggs, and Lemon Crème Fraîche ($14), Whole Baked Baby Snapper for two with a salad of Zucchini, Mint, Coriander and Sauce Vierge ($42), and Salad of Radish Fennel, Ricotta, Orange, Crispy Wild and Brown Rice ($16).
The 130-seater restaurant/bar features plenty of greenery with polished tiles, sandstone walls and pale timbers that reflect a modern, homely ambiance. With floor to ceiling glass doors that open to a large outdoor courtyard space with a further 110 seats, it will highlight the kitchen herb and veggie garden, stunning open fire pits and the beautiful few of the Sydney Harbour.
