Apart from being home to some of the most pristine beaches in Australia, the South Coast of NSW has a reputation for producing award-winning booze, particularly wine. With loads of open country space for vineyards, there’s an array of wineries scattered across the coast so you can spend your morning surfing and your afternoons sipping wine on the hills. While you can’t get away to the South Coast for your annual winter wine tour, let them deliver booze to you in Sydney.
Two Figs Winery, Berry
Two Figs is nestled on the hill of Back Forest with iconic views of the Shoalhaven River. The team is known for producing premium cool-climate wines with all fruit sourced onsite. Our pick of the bunch would be their Sienna, Rosé and Sunday Afternoon which is the perfect white with tropical fruit flavours and a crisp finish. They are offering 15% off and free delivery if you purchase 12 bottles or more. Order online here
Silos Estate, Berry
Silos is located on the sprawling hills of the South Coast’s favourite town, Berry. The estate is a working vineyard operating from buildings used in the original dairy farm established in 1870. The premises have now been fully restored with award-winning accommodation, cellar door, art gallery and a restaurant. We’d suggest ordering a bottle of the aged Ducks Nuts Shiraz and the Merlo which are both big classic Australian reds. Order online here
Crooked River Wines, Gerringong
Situated in Gerringong, the winery showcases amazing views of the mountains and sea. The team has been producing award-winning wines for over 20 years with highlights on their innovative blends. Our top pick would be the Semillon, perfect for warmer days with refreshing lemon and grassy aromas and a soft acidic finish. Order online here
Stoic Brewing, Gerringong
Stoic is Gerringong’s first brewery founded in 2018 by a father and son duo. The beers are handcrafted and brewed on-site and we’d compare them to some of the best in the business. We’d go for the Zeno Pale Ale, an easy-going refreshing ale with subtle tropic fruit aromas, as well as the Hazy Pale. Order online here

We’ve got many favourite drops from here, but special mentions go to Rosies Rosé and the Dusty Dog Shiraz. Beer lovers can get their fix with the Mollymook Pale Ale, as well as the South Coast Session Ale. Order online here

We love all their wines, but special mentions go to Disco Juice, Alfonzo and Golden Girl. Order online here
