Get a sneak peek of Barangaroo’s newest Bar & Taqueria, Tequila Daisy.

Sydney has scored a bunch of new Mexican restaurants in lockdown and we have another to add to the list. Taking place of what was once beloved Vermouth Bar & Bistro, Banksii, we would like to introduce Tequila Daisy. Named after the cocktail that was speculated to have come before the margarita, we have a good idea about what will be on the menu.

The Bar & Taqueria is located in a prime harbourfront spot in the Barangaroo precinct. The venue has undergone a transformation to become a bright and bustling 200-seat eatery. The vibrant blue picnic tables provide the perfect casual vibe for after-work drinks and sharing a meal with friends in the sunshine post lockdown. The venue is set to open its doors to the public for dine-in as soon as Gladys says the word go!

Co-Owner and Executive Chef Hamish Ingham will take your taste buds on a journey through the bustling markets of Mexican City to the lush flavours found in Yucatan. However, in true Ingham-style, he will be providing a lighter and more fresh approach to hero Australian produce. Courtesy of Co-Owner and Team Sommelier Rebecca Lines, the drinks list will feature more than 100 tequila and mezcals, as well as cocktails, beers and wines to suit all tastes.
Amigos can get a taste of what’s to come with the new takeaway menu. Tequila Daisy will serve up their entire range of tacos including Grilled Chicken, Wagyu Beef Brisket, Pulled Pork, Fried Fish, Lamb and Roast Carrot. You will also be able to pick up a selection of premium pre-batched signature cocktails including a Coconut & Elderflower Margarita, a signature Martini, alongside a selection of wine and beer.

Takeaway will be available from the 17th of September from 12pm to 2pm every Friday to Sunday. Find out more here
