Beer lovers rejoice! Sydney Beer Week is back and it’s jam packed with fun foamy goodness.
Sydney’s biggest celebration of beer is back! Spanning over nine days in October, Sydney Beer Week is hosting over 130 events all across Sydney to commemorate this glorious foamy ale. With everything from beer education classes to degustation dinners and beer pairings, here are a few of our top picks to quench your thirst during October.
Sydney Beer Week Opening Gala
Kick off Sydney Beer Week in style at the Opening Gala. Hosted at the Australian National Maritime Museum on Friday 26th October, you’ll get the chance to sample beers from some of Sydney and NSW’s best breweries. There will also be food trucks, live entertainment and plenty of good vibes. Your ticket includes entry, with tasting tokens and food available for purchase on the day.

Beer Olympics
Calling all competitive, beer loving sports enthusiasts! Spend an afternoon representing some of your favourite breweries (Little Alchemist, Holgate, 2 Birds, Kereru, Gage Roads and Rocks Brewing) across 6 Beer Olympic events. All will be revealed on the day, but think games including Mario Kart, Fooseball, Darts and more. For liquid courage, you’ll also be able to sample new, seasonal and limited edition beers with 3 drink vouchers provided on the day. There’ll be plenty of merchandise and prizes given away throughout the day, plus a grand prize for the Beer Olympic Champion 2018.

BBQ and Brews at All Hands Brewing House
With fresh life recently breathed into All Hands Brewing House, now marks the perfect time to head down to this state of the art microbrewery. During Sydney Beer Week, sip your way through a tasting paddle of four beers, teamed with any main meal from the smoker for just $33.

NOMAD’s Amazing Race
Always wanted to compete in your very own amazing race? Now’s your chance, thanks to NOMAD. For one day only on Saturday 27th October, your day will start in breezy Manly before you’re sent searching for clues. As you race to your final pit stop, your tasks will involve tasks to earn your beer and the right to move on to your end goal.

Beer and Cheese with Stinking Bishops
There’s no denying that wine and cheese are a match made in heaven. What fewer people realise though is that beer and cheese is just as delicious, if not more versatile. In this year’s festivities, head to The Taphouse for the ultimate evening of beer and cheese pairings. It features cheese from Stinking Bishops and the best of Victorian beer, as hosted by Willie Wilson & Tom Evans.

Inner West Brewery Association Food Truck Festival
Head to St Peter’s dynamic Precinct 75 for the ultimate celebration of beer in the Inner West. On Saturday 27th October, celebrate great local beer and local food, with the likes of Young Henrys, Willie the Boatman, Wayward Brewing Company, The Grifter Brewing Company and more pouring their speciality brews on the day.

Automata x Modus Dinner
Head into Chippendale’s beloved Automata on Tuesday 30th October for a special beer degustation dinner.
