The Soul Origin National Barista Competition will take place today in botany, crowning the finalists for the best barista in Australia.

In addition to their healthy food options, Soul Origin also offers expertly crafted coffee made by professionally trained baristas. These skilled baristas will be showcasing their talents at the La Marzocco Showroom in Botany on April 21st, as they compete for the title of the best barista in Australia. This is Soul Origin’s largest competition to date, with 6 teams and 10 individual competitors. Contestants will be put to the test on their coffee skills, with a focus on the technical and sensory aspects of coffee. The winner of each state round will be flown to Sydney for the chance to become the National Barista Champion.
This is a unique opportunity for coffee lovers to witness highly skilled baristas at work, showcasing their talent and passion for the craft. The precision and artistry that goes into creating the perfect cup of coffee can be truly mesmerising to watch, and also inspiring. The judges at these competitions provide insightful feedback on each barista’s performance, offering valuable insights into what makes a truly exceptional cup of coffee.
