Broadway meets Salt Meats Cheese
Exciting news for fans of gourmet providore Salt Meats Cheese. From humble beginnings in Alexandria, the brand has spread like wildfire over Sydney, and will now open it’s fifth store in Broadway on Thursday 7th of April.
Expect some unique offerings on this menu, with influences from all over the globe. There will be tapas style dishes like the The Hot Fritto: a dish of stuffed olives and chorizo croquettes. There will be New York style burgers, inspired by the likes of Italian street-food. Look forward to the Porchetta Burger, filled with roast pork, buttered Brussel sprouts, crunchy crackles, with SMC’s signature handmade mustard. Or the Truffle Burger, with grilled chicken breast, truffled mushroom and Gorgonzola sauce served in a milky bun, that will truly give the Trufflenator a run for it’s money.
If you missed out on the Nutella menu, you are in luck! It’s here to stay at the Broadway store. You can indulge on the Nutella Cartocci – deep fried pasty with Nutella and custard cream. Or perhaps the Nutella Heaven Cup, topped with cookies & cream gelato, Ferrero Rocher, Raffaelo, Kinder Bueno and Nutella sauce.
Never fear loyal fans! Some old favourites will feature, with delights including the much-loved black lobster pizza and the egg pappardelle with burnt orange lamb ragú.
As for drinks, they wouldn’t be Italian if they didn’t serve Aperol Spritz, but there’s also much more. They have cocktails inspired by Italian fragrances like the Elderflower Spritz and Mezcal Negronis. Plus there’s an extensive menu of imported and local wines, Italian beers and Mexican tequilas.
The newest offering from Salt Meats Cheese looks set to be a good one. It was only just last year that the guys were opening up their fourth store in Mosman, you can check out our review about it here.
