Shop local this Christmas and explore independent, handcrafted designer brands at Precinct 75’s Summer Design Fair.
16 days. That’s right folks, the countdown to Christmas is well and truly on. But rather than flocking to the city to wade through crowds of stressed festive shoppers, we’ve got a better idea. This year, head to the Inner West and get ready to shop local at this festive market showcasing the best of local, handmade makers and creators.
Tucked away in the heart of St Peters you’ll find Precinct 75, a thriving community of local creatives and independent businesses who are making their mark on Sydneysiders. And for those looking to shop small this year, the precinct’s annual Summer Design Fair is back just in time for the festive gift-giving season.
On Saturday December 14th from 9am to 4pm, Precinct 75’s Summer Design Fair returns with an epic showcase of all things artisan, with an extensive range of curated Australian brands. From returning favourites to new stallholders, the fair is set to be the perfect spot to finish all your last-minute Christmas shopping. Head to this bustling precinct to explore stalls of local brands showcasing everything including jewellery, body products, sweet treats, artisan teas, ceramics and so much more. From stocking stuffers to stand-alone gifts, you’ll find it all at this Summer Design Fair.
Foodies will also be spoilt with a stellar line up of food trucks taking over the precinct for the day. Dive into baked treats from social enterprise The Bread and Butter Project as well as street food from Dumpling Time and Mr Bao Buns and sweet treats from Pepit’as Ice Cream Van (serving up plant-based, vegan, gluten and dairy-free pops).
Along with the fair’s curated pop-up stalls, marketgoers will be able to shop Precinct 75’s permanent homewares stores including Water Tiger, In Artisan, The Society Inc and Saarde Home. Plus, make sure to swing by resident food and drink vendors Rice Pantry and Sample Coffee to grab a feed and dose of coffee once you’ve finished all your festive shopping. Top it off with a pop by Pepita’s Ice Cream Van, serving up vegan-friendly, plant-based, gluten and dairy-free sweet treats.
