Pippis Arrives In Cronulla

The team behind The Grounds of Alexandria is bringing Pippis to Cronulla at the picturesque Calico Marina.

Delivering waterfront views, family-friendly dining, and a menu packed with flavour, Pippis is the brainchild of restaurateur Adam Choker (BarLume and Flower Child cafes). It was born from Adam’s love for his local community in Sydney’s Shire. Partnering with his brother, Ramzey Choker, the creative force behind The Grounds of Alexandria, the duo has crafted a space about connection, comfort, and delicious moments by the water.

At the kitchen’s helm is Italian-born Head Chef Carlo Della Sala, whose background spans from the shores of Lake Como to Australia. The menu pairs modern Australian classics with an Italian twist, offering everything from zesty kingfish ceviche to perfectly baked gourmet pizzas straight from the deck oven. The kingfish crudo with coconut and chilli dressing is a must-order. A close contender is Pippis calamarata pasta—a seafood medley of prawns, squid, mussels, and a rich bisque—need we say more?

As a Cronulla local who now raises his family nearby, Adam sought to create a place that not only serves delicious food but also brings people together. Families will feel at home here, with a casual BYO policy, kid’s play equipment, and a welcoming atmosphere.

The setting is just as impressive as the menu. Overlooking the newly revamped Calico Marina, the venue channels a relaxed, coastal aesthetic courtesy of Caroline Choker and Vince Alafaci of Acme, with Melham Design Studio adding their flair.

Open for breakfast and lunch on Wednesdays and breakfast, lunch, and dinner from Thursday to Sunday, Pippis Cronulla is set to become a must-visit destination for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re chasing waterfront views, a kid-friendly day out, or simply wholesome food, Pippis has got you covered.
