Now in its fifth year, Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel is taking things up a notch with another epic New Year’s Day party in 2020. To kick start the new decade in style, Sydney’s favourite beachside playground is hosting the ultimate summer collaboration to give revelers plenty of reason to celebrate. Set to be the venue’s biggest NYD event to date, Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel is joining forces with iconic eyewear brand SODA Shades for an exclusive takeover event on January 1st 2020.

Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel’s NYD party, brought to you by Byron Bay Premium Lager, is set to start at midday, with the festivities taking over both levels of this Eastern Suburbs institution. The SODA Shades crew are set to bring their signature party vibe to Sydneysiders, renowned across the globe for their epic parties held everywhere from rooftops across NYC to the sandy shores of Bali’s beaches. Co-founders Josh Miller and Steph Claire Smith will be flying to Sydney to co-host and curate the entire event, featuring a handpicked music line-up and a chilled summer party vibe.

Punters will be treated to one of Sydney’s best recovery parties, hosted beneath Watsons Bay’s striped umbrella in the city’s ultimate waterfront party space. Across the afternoon partygoers will experience Josh Miller’s curated entertainment line-up, headlined by DJ sets by legendary electro trio Mansionair (fresh from touring the US alongside Carly Ray Jepsen). Support acts also include Naations (DJ set) and Kinder plus the SODA DJs Sam Evans, Alex Hayes and Jack Hayes hitting the decks. The tempo is set to rise after dark in The Sunset Room as the final DJs play their headline sets until 10pm.

For those looking to kick back after a big NYE, head to Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel’s Recovery Room, open from 1pm. Get ready to recharge in the sunshine, with MAC hosting a touch-up bar complete with lipsticks and face mists on hand. Plus, swing by the hair bar to spruce up your look and make sure to nab a foot massage, perfect to soothe those tired dancing feet.

To keep spirits high all day long, Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel will be offering an exclusive drinks package featuring a range of cocktails and goodies including Byron Bay Premium Lager, Espresso Martinis, Pimms, Tanq and Tonic, Whitley Neill gin cocktails and so much more.
