Wine and food lovers, this one’s for you!

You can now enjoy the best of Mudgee’s food and wine without leaving Sydney! The long-awaited Mudgee Wine + Food Festival at Balmoral is back in action after a 3-year hiatus. Prepare for an eating and drinking adventure as the festival brings the best of the Mudgee right to Sydney’s north shore. Get ready to indulge with an impressive line-up of award-winning cellar doors and regional suppliers.

Mudgee’s Wine + Food Festival has become an iconic festival for people near and far since it was initially established as a week-long tribute to the wine industry. The town (once known for its gold mining), is now considered one of the country’s top wine producers, with over fifty wineries operating in the region. After more than forty years, the festival is now one of the longest-running events in New South Wales and is travelling to Balmoral on Sunday, August 13.

Enjoy an afternoon of wine tasting along Balmoral Reserve, with drops available from more than 20 Mudgee wineries. Sample a selection of wines from renowned vineyards including Moothi Estate, Robert Stein Winery, Craigmoor Wines, and Bunnamagoo Estate Wines.

The experience brings the best of Mudgee’s winemakers to you, so you can chat with all the local producers in a ‘cellar-door’ style. Some of the region’s most-loved providores are also making an appearance, so you can try the best cheese, spicy relishes, syrups, and rich olive oils. The event is also family friendly and kids are encouraged to attend, with face painting and a designated art space made available on the day.

Mudgee’s Wine + Food Festival is free to attend, and purchases can be made with tasting tokens starting at 5 tokens for $30. You can also get your hands on a signature Tasting Tumbler to sample all the wines to your heart’s content. Worried about travel to and from the festival? Leave the car at home and hop onto a free shuttle bus, running along popular stops around the suburb.

Tickets to the festival are available now. For more information, visit their website here.
