Take mum to the village for an authentic Sri Lankan feast this Mother’s Day.
Tucked beneath the city chaos of George Street, INDU offers up a celebration of South India and Sri Lanka village culture, flavours, and hospitality. If mum’s craving a foodie trip overseas, this is just the culinary journey she deserves.
The offering at INDU is a feast for the senses. Expect a coastal and village-inspired menu crafted using fresh, seasonal produce showcasing plenty of seafood and a stack of nourishing vegetarian dishes, too. As for the drinks, expect gin to be the hero of the bar. It’s been chosen to complement the flavours of each dish, with delicious gin and tonic flights a must-try on the menu. There’s also a curated wine list featuring textual varieties from Fiano, Gruner Veltliner to Pinot Noir, and spicy Grenache blends.
The chefs have created a special 4-course set menu for just $75pp this Mother’s Day. It’s designed to be shared and bring families together over a bind of delicious food. It will also include one of their signature gin & tonics, sparkling wines, or beers for mum upon arrival.
If mum’s a big G&T fan, she’ll have a lineup of the best including the following creations:
Whitley Neill signature with burnt rosemary and orange
Whitley Neill Rhubarb and Ginger with Ginger snap
Whitley Neill Quince with Apple & Cucumber
