Launching just in the time for the festive gift-giving season, the Craft Drinks Market is Sydney’s newest boozy market event.

Making its debut on December 8th is the Craft Drinks Market, a specialty festival celebrating small, independent makers of beer, wine, gin, cider, and other alcoholic beverages, as well as some non-alcoholic equivalents. Created by Lindsay Silcox, responsible for the successful gin subscription service Gin Lane, the Craft Drinks Markets seeks to raise awareness of the great work Australian artisan producers are doing across the country. The stats reveal that although the Australian spirits category is growing at 110% per annum, less than 2% of spirits consumed in Australia are actually produced here.
The markets (held on the 2nd Sunday of each month) hope to bring Australia’s finest craft producers and drink lovers face-to-face to learn and taste these craft drinks. Marketgoers will be able to explore the stalls and interact with their favourite booze producers.
This weekend, the first Craft Drinks Market will be taking place from 10:30am to 5:30pm at Moore Park’s Entertainment Quarter. With a Christmas theme and entry just $10, head along to sample and purchase bottles from the likes of Manly Spirits, Brix Distillers, Batch Brewing, Otter Craft Distilling, Brookies (Cape Byron Distillery), Treat Dreams (Boozy Chocolate), Ascella Wines, and ALTD Spirits (non-alcoholic producer). For those looking to stock up for the big day or racing to get their Christmas shopping done, this is the perfect spot that will tick all your boxes.
