Archie Rose will showcase their whisky while Kid Kyoto will serve Japanese Izakaya dishes at an exclusive one-time event this Autumn.
Whisky aficionados and foodies alike, mark your calendars! Kid Kyoto, the chic Japanese izakaya in the heart of Sydney’s CBD, is partnering with Archie Rose Distilling Co. to host an exclusive whisky dinner that promises to be an unforgettable experience.
Archie Rose Distilling Co., which was founded in 2014, has become one of Australia’s most highly awarded distilleries. The whisky dinner, which will be on Wednesday 19th April 2023, will showcase Archie Rose’s signature range of whiskies alongside a specially curated set menu by Kid Kyoto’s Head Chef, Rhys Watson-Lamb.
Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed with the Archie Rose x Kid Kyoto signature cocktail, which sets the tone for the rest of the night. The menu features a variety of dishes that promise to impress, including Oysters with ponzu, wasabi, and ginger oil, Watermelon with pickled ginger and tamari dressing, and Kingfish Sashimi with white soy, grapefruit, and kosho.
The meal will also feature a range of mouth-watering dishes like Togarachi Chicken Karrage with sriracha mayo, King Prawn Skewers with chilli lime miso, +5 Waygu Flank with garlic soy vinegar, enoki, and beef fat, Steamed Rice with marinated yolk and furikake, and a White Chocolate Purin with rhubarb sorbet, matcha sable, and strawberries.
But the star of the show will undoubtedly be the whiskies. Guests will be served 3-4 expressions of Archie Rose whisky, each expertly paired with a course, and an Archie Rose representative will be on hand to guide them through the tasting process.
