Meet Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge, a new era for an iconic venue with a world-class view.
Since opening its doors in 2017, Hacienda Bar has been a Cuban oasis of cool overlooking the sparkling Sydney Harbour. Sydneysiders have come to love this venue’s luxe fit-out, inspired by the vintage hotels of 1950s Miami. And this summer, the bar is set to relaunch with a new and refined identity (just in time for Christmas party season).
This November, Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge is set to swing open its doors, building on the original venue’s lux yet playful and ambient vibe. The reimagined space is set to deliver a new lounge area to boost seating capacity, giving even more punters the chance to soak in the venue’s jaw-dropping floor-to-ceiling windows and a world-class view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge beyond.
The new venue is spearheaded by Hyde, the US nightlife brand that has been taking Australia by storm. After opening Hyde Lounge in L.A. back in 2006, the team has expanded their concept from Miami to Las Vegas and most recently to the Gold Coast and Perth. Following the success of these Australian outposts, the team have rebranded the iconic Hacienda Bar, bringing a new look and level of sophistication to this spot.
The move comes in response to Sydney’s growing appetite for CBD nightlife venues that blur the line between drinks, dinner and dance destinations. Here, you’ll find a hybrid of it all under one roof complete with superior table service, private booth hire, weekend DJs, bar theatrics and a premium beverage offering.
Hacienda has been delivering some of Sydney’s most Instagrammable drinks for years, and things are only expected to get better this summer. A new cocktail menu, curated by Tim Philips-Johansson (Senior Consultant at Sweet&Chilli) is set to deliver a string of new hero drinks to the menu. Don’t miss the Coffee & Malt Old Fashioned (a twist on an old fashion classic with a hint of Espresso Martini), the Chia Daiquiri (infusing rum with the sweetness of strawberries and rose and served with a chia roll-up for a playful twist reminiscent of childhood playground swaps) plus the oh-so-refreshing Pimm’s Smash (a summer punch mash-up with pomegranate and watermelon).
Hacienda’s food offering continues to blend local produce with South American influencers, with newly appointed Executive Chef Steven Hartert crafting a menu made to be shared among friends. Expect this new menu to serve up everything from slow-braised beef short rib tacos to toasted ‘Cubano’ sandwiches with double smoked ham, roasted pork, hot salami and swiss cheese plus roast chicken stuffed empanadas.
With summer kicking off, Hyde Hacienda Sydney Bar + Lounge will reopen on November 15th 2019, set to deliver a unique drinking spot with a side of unrivaled panoramic views.
