HIDEOUT is the newest addition to The Entertainment Quarter, bringing the relaxed vibe of a classic island bar to the city.
Complete with sandy floors, tropical cocktails, and live music that keeps the good times rolling well past sunset, HIDEOUT is Sydney’s newest tiki pop-up bar.
Created by the team at Wats On Events, known for their immersive experiences, HIDEOUT is a pop-up that invites Sydneysiders to escape the ordinary. Whether you’re looking to unwind with a chilled cocktail during the day or dance the night away under tiki torches, this is your spot.
Start with a drink at the bar, where the lineup features island classics like the wiki wiki mojito, frozen pina colada, and Wilson’s daiquiri — a playful nod to the famous movie companion. For those wanting to explore further, the menu includes an aloha mai tai, Tropicana shipwreck punch, and coconut on the beach, along with standard brews, wines, and spirits.
The food menu is designed for sharing, with standout items like Kalani crudo—kingfish ceviche with mango and chilli—and Tropi-Guac, Hawaiian-style guacamole. Classic dishes like sunset spuds, crispy potato scallops with tartar sauce, and the island catch roll with lobster, shrimp, pineapple, and coconut slaw are our top picks. Tacos and, surfside strings, crispy fries with tiki salt round out the offerings.
HIDEOUT isn’t just for adults; it’s also a family-friendly destination during the day, making it an excellent stop for those with kids who want to enjoy the summer vibe. Whether you’re looking to relax with a drink, have a meal with friends, or get the family out for a fun day, HIDEOUT caters to all.
Open Wednesday to Sunday throughout the summer, HIDEOUT is an ideal stop before or after a show at Cirque Du Soleil, a concert, or a game at the nearby venue. While walk-ins are welcomed, private event bookings are also available. Visit hideoutsydney.com.au for more details.
