GAZI After Dark: Greek Feasting Meets Club Energy in the Heart of Darlinghurst

Eat / 17 June 2025

What started as a high-octane pop-up from celebrity chef George Calombaris has cemented its place in Sydney’s nightlife scene.

GAZI Supper Club is now locked in at 235 Victoria Street, Darlinghurst, until the end of 2025, and it’s more than just a restaurant. From the team that brought Athenian street energy to Melbourne comes a multisensory dining experience where flavour meets theatre, and dinner effortlessly melts into dancefloor.

DJs spin as the night ramps up, saxophonists weave through tables, and the cocktails keep pace with the lighting. Expect bold Greek plates (like octopus gyoza and lobster makaronada), live music that builds with the mood, and a party atmosphere that doesn’t wait for dessert to kick off. Every Saturday, GAZI flips into brunch mode with 90 minutes of shared plates, spritzes and cocktails, now with bottomless margaritas at no extra cost, only until July 31st.

What to Eat: Octopus gyoza, soft-shell crab souvlakaki, and that flaming Bombe Metaxa
What to Drink: try the ‘Toxótis Oinomelo’, a Turkish Sour with a Mediterranean twist
When to Go: Late-night feasting and weekend brunch with a beat
Cost: Bottomless brunch from $99; mains from ~$28
Where to Play After: Take a nightcap at Darlo Bar
Vibe Check: Part supper club, part house party
