In a nod to the past, Secret Foodies recently hosted a 20’s themed evening at The Victoria Room. A Night with Capone was a night of cocktails and share style dishes transporting the guests to a time where the dames drank martinis and the talk was cheap.
We have put together a list of the four cocktails served on the night, with the ingredients and method for you to try at home.
Eastside (pictured below)
Ingredients
- 30mls- Ketel One Citron
- 15mls- Sugar
- 30mls- Lime
- Mint Leaves
- Muddled Cucumber
- Topped with Soda Water
Method
Pour in the Ketel One Citron, sugar, lime, mint leaves, muddled cucumber, top with soda water and then garnish with a mint leaf in a champagne flute.
Boulevadier
Ingredients
- 20mls- Bulleit Rye Whiskey
- 20mls- House Sweet Vermouth
- 20mls- Campari
- Garnish with orange zest
Method
Mix together the Bulleit Rye Whiskey, Vermouth and Campari, garnish with orange zest and serve in an Old Fashioned glass.
White Lady (pictured below)
Ingredients
- 15mls -Cointreau
- 45mls- Tanqueray Gin
- 30mls- Lemon Juice
- 10mls- Sugar
- Dash of Egg White
- Garnish with burnt bitters
Method
Mix together the Cointreau, Tanqueray Gin lemon juice, sugar, egg white, the garnish with burnt bitters and serve in a chilled Coupette.
Milk Punch
Ingredients
- 30mls- Bundy Small Batch Rum
- 15mls- Orange & Vanilla Bean Syrup
- 30mls- Baileys
- 60mls- Milk
- Nutmeg
- Smoked Cinnamon Quill
Method
Mix the Bundy Small Batch Rum, Orange and Vanilla Bean syrup, Baileys and milk together. Garnish with nutmeg, a smoked cinnamon quill & served in a wine glass.
