Drink, Eat, Events, Sydney / 3 July 2020

Get ready for Bondi Festival 2020, bringing a Ferris wheel, roller skating rink, arts and more to the shores of Bondi.

In winter, Bondi typically comes alive with a series of pop-up events and festivals. In years gone by, the beachside suburb has hosted the annual Winter Magic festival as well as Bondi Feast (the ultimate winter event featuring comedy, theatre, cabaret, circus and so much more). But in 2020, things are looking a little different. The good news? There’s still plenty to be excited about.

As both festivals were put on pause due to COVID-19 restrictions, Bondi is putting on an almighty show this Spring instead. Get ready for Bondi Festival 2020, combining the best of the Winter Magic and Bondi Feast festivals into one epic line-up of arts and entertainment.

Coming to the shores of Bondi Beach this Spring, Bondi Festival will run for 15 days from September 26th to October 10th, with an impressive line-up of events and activities to add to your itinerary.

So, what can you expect from Bondi Festival 2020? This jam-packed program will welcome back the iconic Bondi Vista Ferris Wheel, offering punters sweeping views across the shores of Sydney’s most popular beach. Although it won’t be hosted in winter, as usual, you can still expect the famous Bondi Roller Rink to be out and taking up prime position of the Bondi foreshore.

And for art lovers? You won’t be disappointed with an impressive line up of artistic talent set to be announced on Wednesday, August 26th. Want to be part of the action? The festival is currently open for submissions from artists, so apply online now before applications close.

Plus, you’ll also find a bunch of fun festival attractions including carnival rides, circus performances, burlesque, comedy, theatre and more popping up across Bondi throughout the festival

The Bondi Festival 2020 will take place across Bondi from September 26th to October 10th, with the full arts programs set to be announced on August 26th. Tickets for all events will be available to purchase online, with shows starting from $10 (and a bunch of free events to look forward to as well). To find out more, click here.
