The Rock’s Bastille Festival might be postponed, but the wine and cheese are still flowing.
With Sydney’s famous celebration of all things French postponed until October 2020, we’re all on the hunt for ways to get our French foodie fix. Luckily, The Rock’s Bastille Festival has stepped up to the occasion with a range of ways to get your wine and cheese fix from home.
The Bastille Festival has curated four gourmet French food boxes just in time for the cooler months, Each comes loaded with French wines and cheeses and make the perfect feast to dig into at your next dinner party in iso. The venture has been launched in partnership with Meals on Wheels, helping to deliver meals to elderly Australians across the country.
First up we have the classic Wine & Cheese Feast Box ($249), packed with the festival’s favourite bites. Expect 6 kinds cheese (totaling a coma-inducing 1.5 kg of Fromage!) paired with 5 fine wines. Plus, you’ll also find a selection of jams to pair with your cheeses, as well as a live masterclass with the festival’s French sommelier to help you learn while you eat and drink.
Next up, we have the French Raclette Feast Box ($95), your one-stop-box for creating a delicious raclette meal at home. Inside, you’ll find 500g of French Raclette cheese (straight from the wheel), 1 bottle of white wine, a selection of charcuterie, potatoes, pickles and French baguettes.
Looking for some a little bit gooey? Don’t miss the French Fondue Feast Box ($105), all you need to transport yourself to the French Alps. Inside, the box comes packed with 3 French cheeses, a duo of white wines (one for cooking, one for drinking naturally), a French baguette, garlic and small bottle of cherry liquor.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Wine Tour de France Box ($149), bringing the vineyards of France to your living room. Expect 6 delicious French wines tracing the famous wine regions of the country.
