A Top-Notch Taco Truck Is Popping Up In Messina HQ

Eat, Sydney / 18 September 2020

Swing by Ricos Taco Truck for $6 tacos every weekend until the end of 2020.

We’ve all been there. You’re in the no man’s land between lunch and dinner. You’re not quite in the mood for a full-blown feast, but need a little something to tide you over. For those moments when only a bite-sized snack will do, we’ve found just the weekend spot to visit.

Meet Ricos Tacos, the new pop-up taco truck that has just landed in the car park of Gelato Messina’s HQ in the heart of the Rosebery. The semi-permanent taco-slinging truck will be open from 5 pm every Thursday and 12pm Friday to Sunday (until sold out), with a trio of $6 tacos on the menu each week.

Swing by for delicious flavors such as chorizo al pastor, Jalisco-style braised beef and fried cauliflower with tahini. Plus, Ricos Tacos is slinging more than just tacos, with other Mexican snacks including corn chips and salsa ($8), black beans and rice ($6), cashew and malt horchata ($6.50) and iced hibiscus ($5) also on the menu.

For taco fans, you’ll be well acquainted with the crew behind Ricos Tacos. Toby Wilson is the brains behind this pop-up taco truck, previously slinging tacos at The George Hotel in Waterloo along with his pop-up Ghostboy Cantina (with residencies at Dixon House and inside Tio’s Cerveceria in Surry Hills).

Ready to score delicious tacos? Head to Gelato Messina HQ and grab your feed from Ricos Taco Truck, open from 5 pm every Thursday and 12pm Friday to Sunday (until sold out). Find out more here.
