The InterContinental Sydney has announced the next instalment in its popular A Taste of  series. The first of three themed degustation menus will be available in May. Wagyu Beef will be the focus of the first event kicking things off with a bang of perfectly marbled good times!
A Taste of will be in the newly opened 117 Dining the new CBD addition to Sydney’s culinary scene. Offering a refined a la carte menu to Sydney-siders and hotel guests the restaurant spans across two dining rooms. Access to 117 Dining has it’s own entrance on the corner of Bridge and Phillip Street so you don’t need to walk through the hotel.

The talented team at the InterContinental includes Tamas Pamer – Director of culinary services, Constantin Kautz – Head Chef and Jarrod Walsh. The superstar chefs have partnered with local New South Wales producers to design a series of innovative dinner menus showcasing some of Australia’s best ingredients for this years A Taste of series.

Each dinner will comprise of five courses matched with wine.

The menus all focus on a different culinary elements like Wagyu Beef, Black Truffle and White Truffle. Each dish uses locally sourced, fresh produce, encouraging sustainability and seasonality.

Menu details

A Taste of Wagyu Beef – May 1st – 31st
Dishes include sumptuous Miso cured Rangers valley beef strip loin and Hickory smoked black mores brisket.
A Taste of Black Truffles – June 25th – July 25th
Dishes include a special Pepe saya buttermilk sorbet and North Queensland Spanner Crab.
A Taste of White Truffles – November 1- 31st
Dishes include Confit smoked Byron bay pork jowl to Robata grilled tajima strip loin.
