As the weather warms up, we’re all dreaming of a summer getaway. From lazy coastal holidays to fun island adventures, there’s plenty of places we’d all love to be traveling to this year. But while jetting abroad isn’t on the cards, this new pop-up bar will help cure your holiday blues with a top-notch tropical experience in the heart of the inner city.
The crew from the King’s Cross Hotel have teamed up with Bacardi to create an epic pop-up rooftop bar just in time for summer. Get ready for Tupu’s Tiki Rooftop Rumshack, an epic tiki-inspired oasis coming soon to this Kings Cross watering hole. Kicking off on October 16th and running until November 28th 2020, this pop-up bar will take over the King’s Cross Hotel’s level six rooftop with an immersive tiki-inspired offering.
Tupu’s Tiki Rooftop Rumshack is set to deliver an array of classic and twisted Barcardi tiki cocktails, tropical-inspired eats and DJ sets every weekend. Make sure to bring your phone charged as they’ll be plenty of Instagrammable drinks, including the smoking volcano shared cocktail Tūtū Pele, topped with pineapple, blood orange and passion fruit as well as the Mai Tai Pandan Colada with pineapple and coconut and a Tonka Old Fashioned with Tiki spices.
As for eats, expect delicious island-inspired dishes including salmon or vegan poke bowls as well as Bacardi Spiced Rum chicken wings, a pork Cubano sandwich with casava chips. The best bit? You won’t eve need to leave your table to order food and drinks (all available via the contactless ordering and payment app Me&u).
Make sure to swing by on Thursday, October 29th for an epic cocktail masterclass with Bacardi Ambassador and expert mixologist Loy Catada.
