Start the New Year with a dose of art and culture (that won’t break the bank) at the Sydney Opera House.
The Sydney Opera House is no stranger to live performances. But usually, nabbing a seat at this iconic performance venue doesn’t come cheap. But this summer, you can stick to your budget and enjoy top-notch live acts thanks to this new offer at the Sydney Opera House.
Get ready for the $21 Summer Tix initiative, running from now until March 31st, 2021 at the Sydney Opera. The program gives Sydneysiders the chance to attend a bunch of epic summer events, performances, and experiences for a heavily reduced rate.
The initiative has been launched by the NSW Government and hopes to get locals out and about to support artists and live performance venues during the summer months. And the Sydney Opera House is one of the best spots to watch some of the best musicals, comedy acts, operas, circus acts and more hit the stage in Sydney.
So, how does this new initiative work? Every day, a new set of shows will go on sale at midday with tickets available for just $21 a pop (up to four tickets per transaction). This daily ticket special will be running right up until the end of March, so make sure to keep tabs on the booking page to see what shows are on sale today.
This week, you can score cheap tickets to the production Hamlet: Prince of Skidmark (delivering a hilarious adaptation of the Shakespeare classic from Australia’s silliest kidult comedy duo, The Listies. And if you’ve got little ones in tow, head along to The Gruffalo’s Child (a magical musical adaptation of the best selling picture book).
