PatchPets is the new social dog app allowing for all of the puppy play dates.
If the dating apps have left you in the pits of despair, perhaps it’s time to revert to a different kind of online match making. *Insert PatchPets*, the new social dog app that works a little like Tinder, matching your pup with fellow doggos in your area so that he/she can make some new furry friends.
The brains behind the innovative app is 21-year-old Brisbane pet parent, Josh Fritz. His aim was to create an inclusive and social online space for follow dog owners to find friends for their pets. How incredibly wholesome.
Up and running nationwide, it’s as simple as downloading the free app and creating a profile for your dog. The app will ask whether you’re a dog owner or business owner, before prompting you to fill out your puppas details. This includes things like breed, size, age, gender and even vaccinations. After filling out the basic details (don’t forget the totally adorable profile picture), you’re then asked to write something more about your doggo.
It’s particularly reminiscent of every dating app, ever. On PatchPets though, your typical profile is less interested in a cheese and wine dinner date and suitable more keen on treats and tennis balls.
The app also displays nearby dog-friendly parks for you to explore with your pooch, plus connects businesses to dog owners. Whether you’re looking for a nearby pet friendly café, vet, grooming parlour, hotel or caravan park, consider PatchPets your new go-to directory for all things dog related.
PatchPets is free and available to download on both Apple and Android devices.
