Melbourne’s Prosecco Festival pops back again this summer with local and Italian makers of our favourite fizz
Popping back onto the summer scene following a standout debut earlier this year, Melbourne’s Prosecco Festival is a day of indulging in fine Italian sparkling wine and cuisine.
Held in a bigger venue on Melbourne’s north side, expect the big names in local Prosecco such as Wines of the King Valley – think Dal Zotto, Pizzini, Chrismont, Sam Miranda and Brown Brothers – along with Box Grove Vineyard, Vinea Marson, Santa & D’Sas, Symphonia Wines, and Politini Wines. Italian makers include a stunning array of DOCG wines, with importers including Festival City Wines, Regina Vino, Alepat Taylor, Winestock, and still more to come.
But it’s not just flowing fizz that in store for you, with a delicious selection of food hand-selected for the event to pair with your Prosecco. Look out for the likes of 400 Gradi, Gelato Papa, Eat Cannoli, Yarra Valley Caviar and Arancini Art to whet your appetite. There’s even salami made with Prosecco by The Meat Room!
Mix things up a little with a visit to the festival’s Spritz Garden where you’ll be able to relax in zone dedicated to your Prosecco cocktail of choice, with drinks served from Australia’s first mobile Prosecco and Spritz Bar, Van Di Vino.
There are two sessions to sip and graze at – 11am-3pm and 4pm-8pm, at Northcote Town Hall Arts Centre,on Saturday 23rd of February 2019, where you can immerse yourself in a day of delicious food, wine and conversation.
