WIN Two Tickets To Vegan Night at INDU Melbourne

Competitions, Melbourne, Restaurants / 15 July 2022

Taste your way through a degustation of vegan dishes inspired by this season’s produce and traditional Sri Lankan flavours at INDU’s adored Vegan Night.

Vegan dining is having a moment but INDU has always been ahead of the game hosting ritual Vegan Nights at their restaurants in Sydney and Melbourne. For those who do not typically associate with a vegan diet, we can assure you this experience will transform the way you think about vegan dining in the best way. The menu satisfies even the biggest of meat eaters with incredible seasonal produce and those traditional Southern Indian and Sri Lankan flavours INDU has become renowned for.

Melbourne’s New Head Chef Three Pha, who you might be familiar with from Spanish tapas bars Movida or Syracuse, is excited to put on Melbourne’s next Vegan Night on Tuesday, 16th of August. His passion to cook with big, bold flavours and his ability to transform traditional dishes into something more refined can have you excited about the menu and assured that you may be able to convert your non-vegan friends.

The menu features 4 courses which are designed to share from the middle of the table to emulate Sri Lankan village culture. Start your evening with dishes of Beetroot Tartare with seeni spices, finger lime and cassava crackers, and Jerusalem Artichoke with thuna paha and roasted garl. Move onto heartier dishes of Polos Curry with young jackfruit and roasted rice, Wambotu Moju which is a hot eggplant salad with pistachio and coconut, Roast Potato, Parsley Sambol and Amma’s Daal which has become a staple dish at INDU. And for dessert, you’ll have the choice between a Coconut Pannacotta with jaggery black rice pudding, toasted coconut and sesame brittle, or Jackfruit Granita with cardamom semifreddo and cumquat. For just $70pp, you’ll get the above set menu and more.

For those who have not been to INDU in Melbourne, you’ll find the restaurant hidden in plain sight on Collins Street. The space is fitted with a mirrored doorway, luxe booth seating separated by linen curtains, and a private dining room upstairs. The restaurant is the perfect place to impress whether it’s date night or you’re bringing colleagues in for a delicious meal.
