Melbourne, Play / 9 August 2023

The Return to Barunah Plains

Australia’s largest New Year’s Eve festival, Beyond the Valley, has released some thrilling updates for this year’s event. This exciting festival is set to take place once more at Barunah Plains, a stunning oasis only 1.5 hours from Melbourne. The natural amphitheatre, covering 100,000 square metres, awaits festival-goers from 28th December to 1st January.

Musical Acts and Unveilings

Stay tuned for a lineup announcement soon! Already, social media hints have begun with a Channel Tres song and a teaser featuring RÜFÜS DU SOL. Beyond the Valley is not just any ordinary festival; it redefines the festival experience.

New Additions and Stage Designs

This year, the festival brings in new offerings such as architecturally crafted stages, a ferris wheel, an inflatable wedding chapel, and a revamped “Better Beer” Beach Club. The well-loved Podcast Stage, hosted by The Daily Aus, will make its return.

The festival will also revive its three acclaimed stages: the Valley Stage with a massive custom design, the Dance Dome boasting a 70-metre-wide LED wall, and the redesigned Dr Dan’s.

Accommodation and Ticketing Options

For the first time, festival and camping tickets will be sold separately, allowing for more flexibility. From Pre-Pitched tents to exclusive VIP upgrades with lush lounges and cocktails, there’s something for everyone. Entry-only tickets provide an option for local stays or nightly returns.

Commitment to Change and Sustainability

Demonstrating its values, Beyond the Valley will donate $1 from every ticket to Igniting Change, supporting various causes such as Children’s Ground and BridgeIt. The festival continues to offset emissions through Treecreds, and $50,000 will be invested in local community initiatives.

Economic Impact and Pre-Sale Information

In its first year at Barunah Plains, Beyond the Valley injected an estimated 17 million dollars into the local region. The demand for this year’s festival is high, and presale registrations are now open. Payment plans are available.

A Legacy of Entertainment

Since 2014, the festival has hosted global acts like Nelly Furtado, Dom Dolla, Tyler The Creator, and many more. Supported by triple j, and brought by Untitled Group, Beyond the Valley continues to be a significant mark in the Australian festival scene.
