Cure your winter blues with flowing Grant Burge wines and incredible food at the Taste the Barossa Dinner series.

Winter and red wine make for a formidable match. Team it with a decadent meal and you’ve got yourself a night to remember. Grant Burge are no strangers robust reds and this winter, they are teaming up with some of Australia’s most loved restaurants with the launch of the Taste the Barossa Dinner Series.

Running throughout July and August, sip your way through some of the Barossa region’s most prized vineyards, while you settle into a perfectly matched meal.

The Taste of Barossa series kicks off in Sydney on 31st July at Potts Point’s newest fine dining restaurant, Metisse. Upon arrival, your appetite will be suitable whetted with an assortment of canapés and sparkling wine. It’s from there that you’ll enjoy selection of Grant Burge wines paired with a five course menu, curated by Head Chef Opel Khan.

Hosted by Chief Winemaker, Craig Stansborough and co-hosted by co-founder and editor of Alquimie, Josh Elias, you’ll be among the first to try the new release Grant Burge Meshach Shiraz 2013. You’ll also sip on premium drops like Nebu Cabernet Shiraz, Shadrach Cabernet Sauvignon, Abednego Shiraz Mourvédre Grenache and the new Super Rare 40 Year Old Fortified Tawny.

Throughout your meal, Craig and Josh will be there to guide you through the intricacies of the featured wines. One things for sure, you can expect to leave with plenty of new found wine knowledge to impress your mates at your next dinner party.

It’s from Sydney that the Grant Burge Taste the Barossa series will travel to Adelaide’s Press Food & Wine on 8th August. Melburnians are next to get a taste of the action on Thursday 15th August at Matilda 159 Domain. The series will wrap up in sunny Brisbane on 21st August at Urbane.
