The Barossa region is set to score Oscar Seppeltsfield, bringing a 12-storey hotel to one of the world’s top 50 vineyards.

Sometimes we want to get away on a budget. But for those special occasions, spending big on a lavish escape might be the order of the day. And for those times when you’re ready to splurge, this spot will soon be at the top of your luxe travel list.

Say hello to Oscar Seppeltsfield, the new $50 million six-star luxury hotel and day spa slated to open in the Barossa region of South Australia. The ambition new project is set to be a big tourism drawcard for Australia, with plans to swing open its doors in 2022.

So, what can we expect from this new spot? The luxe 12-storey hotel will feature 70 rooms, including a mix of suites and penthouses (all with private balconies, of course). On the top level, you’ll find the sky bar boasting 360-degree views across the fields of the Barossa. Plus, on the ground floor, they’ll be a wellness day spa, a relaxation space and an infinity pool.

And foodies won’t be disappointed either. The destination is set to offer a world-class restaurant, private dining room and boardroom. And with vineyards on your doorstep, you won’t be short of delicious drops to drink. Set in the middle of Sepplefield’s Great Terraced Vineyard, the hotel will be surrounded by old bush vines, making for a luxe tranquil escape.

It’s a big move for Seppeltsfield, one of Australia’s oldest wineries. No stranger to critical acclaim, the winery was named as one of the top 50 vineyards in the world back in 2019. It’s hoped this new luxe hotel will make the spot one of the top 5 vineyards in the globe and further elevate Australia’s international wine reputation.

Set to be the Sydney Opera House for the Barossa region, we’re excited to see what the opening of Oscar Seppeltsfield brings to this must-see spot. To find out more about the project, click here.
