The Duke of Clarence team has re-opened a classic pub in The Rocks and is giving it the full English treatment.
The 3.5 year project saw a full transformation of the heritage listed building that aimed to maintain the charm of the historic pub. British born Mikey Enright from the Barrelhouse Group (which also owns The Barber Ship and Hickson House Distilling) says "it’s somewhere you walk in, meet people and have a laugh with friends, whether you’re settling into a cosy dining nook or sitting on the footpath watching the harbour with a pint or a classic cocktail, it’s built for everybody to feel at home."
As for the menu? It's got the "wholesome British pub classics with a modern twist."
Open seven days a week, with a kitchen that's open until 10pm, the Observer Hotel on George Street is serving up scotch eggs, whisky marinated steaks and Irish coffee cocktails. And we'll take one of each.
