Sydney’s rock oysters are renowned for their briny flavour and creamy texture… and often their price tag. One is never enough, but when they can cost upwards of $7 or $8 each, the bill racks up pretty quickly. Especially when paired with an obligatory glass of bubbles.
Luckily, we know where to get some of the best oyster specials in town. These restaurants, pubs and bars are shucking them fresh and serving them cold with lemon, mignonette and whatever other accoutrements you fancy, starting at an incredible $1 per oyster.
If you're looking to mix things up from the usual pub grub, this Redfern staple is serving up $1 oysters every Saturday until sold out.
