St Alma Freshwater

A coastal Mexican local at St Alma Freshwater

In a former bank on Albert Street, St Alma Freshwater is a coastal Mexican restaurant and cocktail bar from the team behind Alma Avalon. Expect an open kitchen, big street facing windows and a menu built for sharing.

St Alma is Freshwater’s relaxed answer to a big night out, set in the old Bendigo Bank building with a curved back bar lined with tequila and mezcal and long tables made for sharing. The menu leans seafood led and coastal, with ceviche, tostadas, tacos and slow cooked meats inspired by Mexico’s street food, while the cocktail list is agave forward and taken seriously. If you can’t decide, hand the call to the chef or the bartender. It’s an easy pick for group dinners, birthdays and long lazy lunches, with a stroll to the beach to finish.
