Located on Campbell Parade at the North Bondi bus interchange, The Depot is a buzzing café known for their friendly service, rich coffee and seasonally inspired breakfast and lunch menu. Having opened in 2007 it’s become somewhat of an institution amongst locals and tourists alike. Fresh herbs are picked from the community garden right outside the cafe to garnish your meal. They also source their own honey, seasonal veggies and fruit at their southern highlands farmland.

The Depot offer fresh and approachable dishes in a laid-back environment with views over North Bondi. The gluten free pancakes are one of their signature dishes and comes served with a fresh berry compote, maple syrup and coconut yogurt. Forget flavourless, dry and dusty gluten free pancakes you may have tried before, these are moist and full of flavour. Packed with flakes of real coconut these crispy grilled treats are little flavour bombs in every bite.

If you’re really hungry order the giant breakfast quesadilla. A flat grilled tortilla is filled with breakfast essentials including egg, cheese, salsa, avo and bacon. Smokey aioli is an excellent addition.

You’ll find other quintessential Sydney dishes on the menu including smashed avo (at a reasonable $14.50 compared to other cafes), chai spiced porridge, and acai bowls. The rainbow breakfast bowl is perfect for the health conscious. A spiced mix of quinoa, kale and fermented veg is topped with avocado, beetroot hummus, grilled halloumi and poached eggs. The caveman eggs come served with a rich beef and chorizo ragu, goats cheese and pesto, topped with two poached eggs and baked parmesan.

Breakfast is available all day from 6am. Come 12pm you can also order from the lunch menu with a burger, steak sandwich, homemade pie and more on offer.

Single Origin coffee will cure your caffeine fix. They also have a selection of super smoothies and fresh juices available.
