Sydney’s iconic Pirrama Park in Pyrmont is set to be adorned with effervescence as Sparkling Sydney returns on Sunday, November 26, 2023. This unique sparkling wine festival promises a day of gastronomic delights, featuring an extensive selection of both local and international sparkling wines set along our beloved harbour.
The heart of Sparkling Sydney lies in its diverse array of sparkling wines, offering a tasting journey through Blanc de Blanc, Petit Verdot, Sparkling Malbec, Prosecco, and more. With over 60 sparkling wines to explore, attendees will have the opportunity to savour the craftsmanship of renowned winemakers, including Petersons Wines, Savannah Estate, Peterson House, and an array of other distinguished names.
For those seeking a departure from sparkling, the Craft Spirits section beckons, featuring El Jimador Tequila and Gin Mare activation bars. Dive into tantalising tastings and Spring-inspired cocktails, including options from local small-batch distillers like Finders Distillery and Small Mouth Vodka. Even non-alcoholic delights are on offer, such as refreshing pineapple Pickled Bear Seltzer.
The festival’s culinary offerings are equally impressive. Indulge in fresh Sydney Rocks Oysters from a fifth-generation oyster farmer, perfectly paired with signature cocktails, wines, and craft ginger beer. Gourmet food options abound, with delights from Sofrito Paella, The Gnocchi Way, Japanese Aburi Bar, and more, meticulously paired with bubbles and sparkling treats. From Hunter Valley cheeses to choux patisserie and gelato, every palate is catered to.
Live music will set the festive tone, with contemporary Jazz classics fused with RnB and pop gracing the main stage. The lineup includes legendary Australian Jazz vocalist Emma Pask and RnB Soul Songstress Prinnie Stevens. The DJ Garden will add a groovy touch, featuring tunes from Kate Monroe and Paris Groovescotter.
Sparkling Sydney is a free-entry event, welcoming visitors of all ages. Wine enthusiasts can purchase branded festival wine-tasting glasses and ticket packages, starting at $37.50 (includes 1 glass & 5 tasting tickets). Pre-sale wine-tasting packages can also be purchased online for easy pickup on the day from the ‘Express Pick Up’.
