Pizza’Mare: The Pizzeria From Two Hatted Restaurant a’Mare

/ 22 April 2026

Sydney’s two-hatted a’Mare is expanding its Barangaroo home into a multi-layered Italian dining destination called Pizza’Mare.

Founders Alessandro and Anna Pavoni are creating three distinct experiences under one roof: the refined a’Mare Dining Room, casual Pizza’Mare, and aperitivo-led Vista’Mare bar.

Marking the Pavonis’ first pizzeria, Pizza’Mare centres around authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas made with pre-fermented biga dough for a light, airy crust, fired in a specialty MAM oven imported from Modena. Pizzaiolo Paolo Lacarpia, who grew up learning traditional baking in Bari, brings serious credentials to the kitchen, working under Executive Chef Giuseppe Fuzio. The a’Marinara is the standout, topped with yellowfin tuna crudo, confit cherry tomatoes, stracciatella and lemon zest, with optional caviar for extra indulgence.

Expect classic pasta like Rigatoni Cacio e Pepe alongside antipasti and those sweeping harbour views. The bright, playful space designed by Luchetti Krelle makes this Barangaroo’s answer to relaxed, quality Italian dining.
