Renowned Two-Hat restaurant, Parlar has made its highly-anticipated return to Sydney’s dining scene.
From the visionaries behind Sydney faves, Franca and Armorica, Catalan-inspired venue, Parlar has reopened its doors in Potts Point. After a period of rejuvenation and skill refinement in Spain, this treasured venue is returning with a refreshed vision, sure to capture the hearts of Potts Pointers and visitors alike.
The 55-seater venue promises to deliver world-class Catalan-inspired dining to the heart of the inner-city enclave. Parlar offers a unique fusion of top global cuisines, with a distinctive Catalan flair. Renowned as a Two-Hat restaurant, Parlar transforms restaurant dining into an art museum, blending fine food with artistic elegance. The restaurant’s interior holds owner Andrew Becher’s personal art collection, including exclusive pieces by renowned 70s artist Alexander Calder.

Parlar’s food celebrates Catalonia’s vibrant and unique flavours. There are three tasting menus to choose from, each created to satisfy all five senses. A 3-course-plus-snacks sample menu for $99pp, available between 5-6pm, or the 5-course-plus-snacks Essence Menu and Adventure Menu for $129pp/179pp respectively.
Diners can enjoy drool-worthy dishes like the Loligo squid with chorizo, cannellini beans, tomatoes and smoked almonds alongside hearty offerings such as the aged Berkshire pork loin morcilla. The white chocolate tarta de Santiago with basil cream and strawberry consummé is the perfect end to a meal at Parlar and promises to leave you savouring every last spoonful. “With Spanish cuisine gaining significant recognition in the world’s 50 best restaurants, we are thrilled to reintroduce Sydney to this exceptional style of dining.” Andrew Becher discusses.
Parlar’s cocktail list eloquently complements the restaurant’s food, featuring classic drinks infused with a Catalan twist. Expect fortified wines among the ingredients like vermouth and sherry. The wine list, curated by Venue Manager and Sommelier Waldeck Ray, showcases a world-class selection of rare and premium drops from esteemed vineyards worldwide. Each wine is carefully chosen to pair perfectly with the dishes, offering a memorable and sophisticated dining experience.
