Love Tilly Devine Explores Chinese Wine in Darlinghurst

/ 17 February 2026

Love, Tilly Devine is closing out Lunar New Year celebrations with something special: a deep dive into China’s emerging natural wine scene.

On March 3rd, the Crown Lane wine bar welcomes cult winemaker Ian Dai from Xiao Pu, alongside Hamish Williams of Periphery Wines, for an evening showcasing unique bottles from vineyards across China.

Dai has earned serious recognition since launching Xiao Pu in 2017, working with growing partners across Ningxia, Yunnan, Gansu, Inner Mongolia and Sichuan to produce bold, lo-fi, small-batch cuvees. You’ll get to try four of his wines, including ‘Tangerine’ skinsy and ‘Perdue 22.1’ Pinot Noir, plus bottles from other pioneering Chinese producers. Sample by the glass, bottle, or opt for flights of four ($55 or $85).

To match the occasion, Potts Point’s legendary Grape Garden is supplying three flavours of dumplings for one night only. Head Chef Brent Wilson’s regular menu runs as usual. From 6pm at Love Tilly Devine, Darlinghurst.
