Meet LILYMU, The Asian-Inspired Restaurant From The Crew Behind Nour & Henrietta

Indulge in the flavours of contemporary Asian cuisine at LILYMU in Parramatta Square.

It’s been a busy few year for the team behind Nour, one of Surry Hills’ best Middle Eastern restaurants. You might remember we covered the opening of their new casual charcoal chicken eatery, Henriettas back in July 2020. After the success of this new opening, the Nour crew turned their attention west with their latest restaurant.

Meet LILYMU, a contemporary pan-Asian restaurant in Parramatta Square. This new dining room, created by the crew from Nour and Henriettas, is combining influences from China and South East Asia with an innovative Asian-inspired menu.

Co-owner Ibby Moubadder said: “We’ve had such success with our restaurants, Nour and Henrietta and we wanted to continue that success as we move to our newest location in the Parramatta Square precinct.”

“We believe that a restaurant is as much about the ambiance, good conversation, and laughter, as is the quality of food and wine and so we’re thrilled to be expanding our portfolio to include LILYMU, a contemporary Asian restaurant,” tells Ibby.

At the helm of the kitchen is Brendan Fong (ex-Mr Wong), driving the culinary vision at LILYMU. Under his direction, the menu boasts a selection of snacks and larger share plates, including Tom Yum prawn dumplings with soy and lime dressing; pippies with XO sauce and kaffir lime; red curry of scampi with betel leaves, and desserts including a milk tea Tres Leches cake.

Plus, there’s a full-service bar slinging top-notch wines and cocktails. Expect mixes such as a Dragon Sour of gin, Lillet rose, dragon fruit syrup, Thai basil leaves, fresh lime, and egg whites and a Fiery Passion – a spin on the classic margarita including; Thai chili-infused tequila Blanco, yuzushu, sake, Aperol, lemon, passionfruit, and agave.

At LILYMU you’ll find a space that can seat up to 160 guests, including communal tables, private dining rooms, and outdoor dining spaces. Expect a sleek fit-out featuring concrete, dark timbers, and aged bronze accents, along with soft furnishings used to add colour to the space.

LILYMU is open now in Parramatta Square, open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday and lunch on Thursday to Sunday. Find out more and secure your spot here
