HOYTS Entertainment Quarter reveals a multi-million dollar renovation to elevate your next trip to the movies.
Visiting the cinema is a ritual for Sydneysiders. If you’re looking for the perfect spot to book your next cinema experience, you can’t go past the newly refurbished HOYTS Entertainment Quarter. Since swinging open their doors to this new-look space in December 2019, the cinema has been inspiring cinema-goers with an epic multi-million dollar fit-out.
HOYTS’ Entertainment Quarter’s main 12-screen location has been treated to a fresh new look, with a facade that still pays homage to the sites’ 1950s heritage. From the moment you step through the doors, you’ll be in for a one-of-a-kind experience, with a sleek lobby area, self-serve candy bar (with walls of drinks, lollies, popcorn and more) plus a brand-new licensed on-site eatery Artie’s Bar & Cafe.
As for the cinema itself, guests can now book in for a range of immersive cinema experiences, including some of Sydney’s biggest and best cinema screens. Each theatre now boasts luxe extra-comfy recliners, complete with extra legroom and wider seats (all at the same price as a standard ticket). Want to get lost in the action? One of HOYTS Entertainment Quarters’ cinemas now offers hyper-realistic D-BOX Motion Recliners, which move in perfect sync with the action on-screen.
Three of the Xtremescreen cinemas are now fitted out with the very best DOLBY ATMOS 7.1 audio technology, designed to add a truly immersive element to every action blockbuster. Plus, HOYTS Entertainment Quarter welcomes Sydney’s only Samsung Onyx LED Cinema screen, an awe-inspiring purpose-built cinema screen featuring brilliant LED picture quality and HDR (High Dynamic Range) visuals paired with crystal clear sound. Want to level up your cinema dining game? Book in to HOYTS LUX to sample a luxurious menu of eats (curated by celebrity chef Manu Feildel), with a selection of paired premium wines. Plus, swing by Artie’s Bar & Cafe before your film to enjoy a delicious pizza as well as beer and wine (all which can be brought into the cinema as well). Fancy something a little sweater? Swing by Treat City to choose your own sweet treats including popcorn, lollies and even delicious Baskin-Robbins ice cream.
The original, smaller 4-screen HOYTS site at Entertainment Quarter is also set for a upgrade in late 2020, so keep an eye out for that.
