The masterminds at Funlab have done it again, this time with 15 different immersive and interactive challenge room experiences under one retro hotel-inspired roof. 

Best known for Holey Moley fun worlds and Archie Brothers Cirque Electrique, Funlab are back with whatever the play version of Willy Wonka’s Wonderland is. A leisure-tainment paradise of nostalgia where guests ‘play, not stay’ featuring a faux hotel lobby, a lift, three cocktail bars and 15 quick-play challenge rooms, guests will be catapulted back to the thrilling days of yesteryear as they rollick amongst the whacky retro decor. 

Housed on the set of a sophisticated New York hotel facade, each of the 15 challenge rooms are themed around a plethora of 80s and 90s cult classic movies and board games. Draw Me Like One Of Your French Girls is the gravity defying Titanic-themed room with a masterfully designed interior creating the illusion of being smack-bang in the middle of a sinking ship. A head-spinning challenge that will have you wondering if your heart will, indeed, go on! 

Under the same roof – for the putt-putt enthusiasts – a brand new, never-before-seen ‘mega’ Holey Moley will be bringing the Alice in Wonderland vibes with its 27 themed holes taking full advantage of the venue’s staggering 14-metre high ceilings. 

 Navigate your way through flashback faves such as; Poke A Dot – a room filled with illuminating buttons which teammates must press as quickly as possible at increasingly rapid succession;  Shape’n Up – recreate the projected pattern of blocks with foam pieces as quickly as possible to score a point; and Scrambled, an ode to Scrabble for which team members will spell out the correct word to the clue using the lettered cubes to score a point and reveal a new clue.

Guests can refuel at one of three bars, including the neon-lit Hotel Lobby Bar. For a truly theatrical experience, slurp a  Bubble and Pop cocktail – a delectable concoction of tequila, white chocolate, passionfruit, lemon, and egg white, topped with a sweetly scented bubble that bursts and gives way to a dazzling suspended vapour – a real magician’s reveal moment!

With 10 challenge rooms open at launch and a further five to be unveiled in the weeks to follow, guests can purchase a 30-minute game session in teams of 2-6 players. Sessions include a ‘course’ of five challenge rooms at four minutes per room and lasting 20 minutes in total, with 10 minutes to move between rooms.
