Holey Moley gets set to tee off in Kings Cross this May.
Holey Moley, the mini-golf course come cocktail bar is set to open its shiny new green on 10th May in Kings Cross, and what better spot to do it than directly under the iconic Coca Cola sign. Perhaps this is the reboot the Cross has been waiting for.
Two-storeys, 27 holes, and three bars of jam-packed putt-putt goodness is what you can expect at the new Kings Cross venue. According to CEO Michael Schreiber, the Funlab is going “above and beyond” for their freshest venue.
For as little as $16.50 per person you can enjoy a 9-hole round. However those looking for the full 27-hole experience can opt to pay $49.50 per person.
The site adorns a luxurious 1920s Gatsby-style fit out, channelling the free-spirited and frivolous vibe of the era. You’ll even find one of the nine-hole courses takes up residency in the former Piano Room, keeping in tact the bars long standing features.
The full kitchen will keep you fuelled all the way to the 27th hole, with a crowd-pleasing menu offering a range of burgers, bar snacks and loaded fries. Expect the likes of a Holey Cheezus Burger, made using a 150g beef patty, cheddar cheese, oozy gooey cheese sauce, tomato, pickles, bacon, ketchup and aioli on their signature milk bun. If that doesn’t take your fancy, perhaps the Chickira Hot Dog will, made with crispy fried chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, crushed avocado and aioli on a white bun.
And yes, you will also need some re-hydration along the way, in which case the bar will have you sorted. You can expect some extravagant and fun cocktails on offer, such as the Cherry Ripe for the Picking, shaken and stirred using cherry heering liquer, chocolat royal, coconut rum, whipped cream with shredded coconut.
