Fratelli Fresh and Sake to Open at Manly Wharf This Year

Eat, Sydney / 2 May 2018

Manly Wharf is about to receive two new additions to its buzzy restaurant scene, just in time for those spring long lunches.

If you’ve been to Manly recently, or happen to be a local, you’ll have most likely spotted the extensive construction works atop a slew of restaurants and bars down by Manly Wharf. Earlier this year we caught wind of some big names in food arriving to the Northern Beaches site, and now it’s been confirmed: insert Fratelli Fresh and Sake Restaurant and Bar.
Rockpool Dining Group’s Chief Executive, Thomas Pash, alongside internationally acclaimed chef and restaurateur Neil Perry, confirmed back in January that the restaurant group had claimed two sites on the second-floor development at Manly Wharf.
In an exciting development, we’ve now been told of an open date, and it’s sooner than what you might think. Doors of both enterprises are set to open to the public in August 2018. Just in time for spring, this marks the sixth Sake restaurant, with other eateries situated in Double Bay, Eagle St Pier, Flinders Lane, Hamer Hall and The Rocks.
As for Fratelli Fresh, the new Manly eatery marks the eight location, with another restaurant set to open in Darling Harbour this June.
These two new dining spots will be sitting in esteemed company, with the likes of Merivale’s Queen Chow (set to open in winter), alongside institutions such as Hugo’s, Bavarian Beer Cafe and Manly Wharf Bar.
Since Urban Purveyor Group acquired Rockpool Group back in 2016, they’ve managed to effectively follow through with their proposed expansion plans. Rockpool Dining Group now has 60 restaurants to its name, with plans to have over 200 venues scattered around Australia in the upcoming years.
We might not have an exact open date as of yet, but watch this space for information on the exact opening dates!
