Bondi hotspot, Easy Tiger serves up a Filipino feast in collaboration with the Philippines’ favourite airline, Cebu Pacific Air.
This exciting collaboration kicked off on June 12th, Philippines’ National Independence Day, and runs until June 30th. Easy Tiger‘s Head Chef, Andrianto Wirya, and Filipino Chef Bob Batara present diners with a four-course “Filipino Feast”. “We are very excited to bring the tastes and aromas of the Philippines to our Bondi venue,” says Chef Andrianto.
The $69pp feast starts with Kingfish sashimi drizzled with a tangy “sinigang” dressing and pickled shallots, followed by smoked adobo spring rolls bursting with flavor and a fermented chili kick.
The main course is a definite crowd-pleaser, OG Crispy Pata (pork hocks) served with classic soy and vinegar dips. Their sizzling Margra Lamb Sisig is not to be missed – a savoury dish with calamansi soy and fried garlic. This is all accompanied by charred sugarloaf cabbage, drizzled with a rich kare kare peanut sauce and “Sinangag” fried rice – the perfect combination for soaking up all the delicious flavors. Finish with halo halo, a delightful Filipino dessert featuring pandan ice cream, nata de coco (coconut gel), and mango pearls.
Wanting a showstopper? Pre-order the Live Mud Crab! It’s priced by market value. Choose how it’s prepared: a) Ginataang Alimango, cooked in a flavorful coconut milk broth, or b) Philippines-style chili crab (for a fiery twist).
Throughout June, Easy Tiger will also be shaking up Ube cocktails, courtesy of Sydney-based alcohol importer 7000 Islands. Plus, they’re hosting a range of giveaways throughout June to celebrate the collab. Keep an eye on their Instagram for details and a chance to win BIG!
Book your table at Easy Tiger here, and experience the flavour. Then, head to Cebu Pacific Air to discover the beauty and happiness that await in the Philippines!
